Benefit

June 26th, 2006 by safiya-khairunnisa

Benefit

The salesman is saying

His product is very good

It brings great benefit

To those who use it

Whatever we do

We want benefit

Just mention something to someone

He will ask what the benefit there is

There sure is benefit

That is a decision

Made by Allah

For those who struggle

In the way of Allah

Benefit comes in many forms

That is easy for Allah to perform

Either in this world or the next

Benefit are for those

When mention an obligation

They quickly follow

And when forbidden

They leave it

Benefit are tremendous in Jannah

viva

June 26th, 2006 by safiya-khairunnisa

my final examination mbbs was very memorable. masa viva tu one of the examiner tanya pasal complimentary medicine.

berita pasal tu ada dlm paper hari tu rupanye tapi tak terbaca la pulak. masa kena tanye tu punyela terkejut.. yelah.. masa tu complimentary medicine  tu pun saya tak sure include apa; bomoh saje ke termasuk homopathy skali ke… tapi bila dr sebut selain allopathic medicine barulah faham. i did give some answer tapi rasanya tak berapa bernas.

tapi until now selalu terfikir akan soalan tu

"in your opinion why many people likes complimentary medicine instead of allopathic medicine?"

lepas pada tu saya pergi tanye makcik2, parents saya..tapi still i didn’t get the answer that satisfy me. kenapa ye people tak nak jumpa dr?..i think there s a lot of factor and the factors differ for each individual. but still there must be one strong common factor.. what is it???

even the one yg berpelajaran n went to universiti pun suka alternative medicine not just makcik2 yg duduk kat kampung…

what is so scary about doctors and hospitals?….

tapi one thing i realize sometimes it is not easy to explain things to others, even things yg we medical team anggap simple. we tend to use difficult words and make things look complicated , tak mudah nak faham.. mcm mana ye ..what is the best way to convey the right knowledge to the right person at the right time..

…….tapi bila patient yg di treat (i did not treat, but follow up the patient) tu improve there is a very nice feeling inside me .. rasa gembira n puas hati, bersyukur that the person got better. susah nak gambarkan perasaan tu tapi best!!..

….medical world is interesting, risky but also rewarding….

In the name of Allah, The Most gracious The Merciful

All glory be to Allah for every single good in me and in others; those are from Him  and to Him alone belongs all the praise

I read a book last week. it was very interesting. the title is poor dad and rich dad. this person has two dads. one is his true dad and another one is his friend’s dad. both dads were very dear to him  but they both taught him 2 diferrent things upon life perspective which really made him think and puzzled to  decide which one to follow.. at last   he decided to follow the rich dad.

in the book it really struck me and make me realize why rich people remains rich and why middle class and poor people remained as they are.. to get the real idea of it one has to read the book. but what i remembered most until now is the difference between asset and liability ; which many people did not realize. people tend to use it interchangeably and being mislead by their own understanding.

MEANING AND BLESSINGS OF THE PRAYER

Brothers in Islam! The basic and most important act of worship among those which Allah has taught us to perform is Salah, or the Prayer. It prepares us to worship Him in our entire lives – the purpose for which he has created us. Consider carefully why it is so important, what is its true meaning and significance.

Remembering God

The prayer is an act of worship. We should, therefore, first recollect what worship means.

Worship means revering, serving and obeying God in our whole lives. Being born as God’s servants, we cannot give up serving Him at any time or under any circumstances and still remains His servant as God wanted us to be when he crated us. Just as you cannot say that you are creatures of God for a particular time only, so you cannot say that you will spend only a certain amount of time in worshipping Him and be free to spend rest as you please. You are born to worship Him. Your whole lives should therefore be spent in ‘Ibadah, you should not neglect it for a single moment.

It is precisely for this reason that worship does not require giving up day-to-day world and sitting in a corner chanting God’s name. Worship means that whatever you do in the world should be in accordance with God’s guidance. Whether you sleep, are awake, eat drink or work – in fact, whatever activity you do – you worship Allah if these are done in obedience to Him.

When you are at home with your wives and children, brothers and sisters and relatives, behave towards them exactly as God has laid down. When you talk to your friends and amuse yourselves, remain conscious that you are servants of God. When you go out to work and have dealings with other people, keep in view God’s commandments about what behavior is proper and legitimate and what is not.

When in the dark of night you feel you can commit a sin which nobody in the world can see, then it is the time to remember that God is seeing you and it is he, and not your fellow humans who deserved to be feared. And when following the path of truth and honesty causes you material loss or otherwise puts you at a disadvantage, accept this ungrudgingly in the knowledge that you are pleasing Allah by obeying Him and that your gain from Him will far outweigh any temporary, earthly loss.

Abandoning the world and sitting in secluded places counting rosary beads is, therefore not real worship at all. Worship is to be engaged in everyday affairs and yet follow the way of God. What does remembering (dzikir) means? It does not mean merely the continual chanting of Allah, Allah!. The real remembrance of God consists in recalling to mind the name and will of Allah when you are caught up in day-to-day worldly activities. Being engaged in pursuits which could tend to make you forget Allah and yet not forgetting Him is in fact remembering Him. In this life, where opportunities abound for disobeying God and where temptations of huge profits lurk, you must unfailingly remember God and remain steadfast in following His law. This is the true remembrance of god. This is the kind of remembrance the Qur’an refers to thus:

Then, when the prayer is finished, disperse on earth and seek God’s bounty; but remember God often, so that you may attain success (Al-Jumuah 62:10)

Reminder

Reminder

Don’t forget your appointment

A wife tells her husband

I cannot follow you

Says one friend to another

My mother reminds me to come home early

Please be prepared

Reminds a teacher to her students

Lucky for these

There are people concerned

Always reminding

When they have forgotten

There is also a reminder

That we should ponder

Have we surrender

To the One who owns all wonder

Protections

July 8th, 2005 by safiya-khairunnisa

Protection

A woman is walking along a road

Then comes a rainfall

Luckily she has an umbrella

To act as a protection

A policeman is chasing a robber

Being shot directly on the chest

But he is safe and sound

For wearing a bullet proof protection

A baby cries for protection

He is scared

For a cat is coming near

Man, woman, girl or boy

At one time or another

Cries for protection

When in need

How minute and weak

The heart feels

Mankind is a creation

The Sustainer gives the protection

Second by second

All through the years

….Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah. sesungguhnya Allah lah yang sentiasa melihat dah memelihara and melindungi hamba-hambanya.. apa-apa kebaikan yg ada pada diriku dan yg ada pada diri org lain adalah dari Allah jua.. all praise belong to Allah, The Most Gracious The Most Merciful..

Allah protects us from the bad doing and encourage us on the good doing.. open our heart and look in the Qur’an.. you’ll find Allah’s Kindness all through it..subhanallah..

Afraid

July 7th, 2005 by safiya-khairunnisa

Afraid

Its dark over there

She refuses to go near

She is afraid

Children are afraid of many things

A fierce man at the shop

A hungry tiger at the zoo

A headmaster with a cane

One thing that we should be afraid

That is when we do something wrong

Though not known

By those around

But still the heart is afraid

Afraid of the One the All-Seen

Allah sees us even though we do not see Him

That is why

The heart is afraid
